Harold bears the dubious distinction of being the first “haunted” doll to be purchased on eBay. When the auction was first posted by Greg Mishka in 2003, his over-the-top description of the doll’s deadly history went viral, making Harold an overnight paranormal web celeb. The first eBay buyer (a friend of Mishka’s family) dismissed the horrific warnings, claiming she simply wanted to restore the vintage doll… but oddly enough, she put it back up for auction the following year, saying only that Harold was “cursed.” The current owner claims to have recorded several psychic readings on the doll, and during some of these sessions Harold can be heard speaking in a man’s voice, threatening to kill the readers.

My take on this is that this whole story of harold being haunted is just unacceptable. With no proper reasoning to why Harold is claimed is to be haunted in the first place, how can someone just randomly say that the doll is cursed???There should be solid evidence to prove why the person thinks to why Harold is haunted.Another thing that austonishes me is that people very easily believed that Harold is a cursed doll.Without even verifying if the statement is true.People should stop believing such unproved, superficial claims on the internet.

I dont know why there are so many fetishes regarding dolls. Just because its so easy to blame stuff on things that are not alive. People should really stop their comments on dolls being haunted.
ReplyDeleteThe doll in the picture actually looks very old and tattered. However it cant be used as a reason to say that the doll is sinister.
