A paranormal encounter in my life

From where can I begin .. I was a person who dint believe in ghosts spirits zombies anything related with horror.
but me writing article of my own experiences amazes me till date

This incident happened when I was 17 years old I was off to a vacation with my parents to my hometown I seriously didn't know what the  people were doing there that  place was new to me it was practically a village and everyone din have  access to  technology I was really excited to be there My dad had planned to be there for around 2 months cause it was my summer holidays  and he wanted to spend it there i was very friendly with elders and mostly with the people who were living around  I am mostly a night person I can be awake till 5 in morning so I  have no habit of sleeping early

So after the dinner, my whole family and villagers out there  sat out for a small chitchat and there came a discussion about paranormal stuff
There an old lady she must be mostly in her 50s she told that the place which we are staying is haunted.

She told us that a girl in her mid-20s had committed suicide years ago in the same place  as  she went on with her story stating that the young girls' name was Lakshmi and she was loving a boy called Krishna and they loved each other for a very long time  her father got to know about the love issue  and has refused to give  consent to their marriage due to some caste issues
Hearing this the girl  with a lot of grief has  hanged herself.

As I was hearing, this I was not  scared at all cause mostly in movies I've heard a lot of stories like this.
When this thing came to the limelight was when everyone in the house had gone to sleep I was sitting with my book reading a nice romantic novel
It was around 3 30 and I was sitting and while I was reading I heard a faint anklet noise coming through the window once i heard it I didn't give much thought and the second time it was kind of coming closer and this time with the anklet noise came strong stench out of nowhere it was really bad really felt dizzy  i seriously couldn't breath and i was scared i really didn't  know what to do my hands got  cold  and that noise i heard was  unique and i hope i don't hear it anymore for others this might be a story but for me it was an...

  1. personal encounters with ghost like beings are quite a nice story material.. but what intrigues me is that.. people never really SEE any ghost.. they just formulate some symbtoms for ghostly presence and upon encountering them they are convinced of a super natural presence.. i mean.. who really decides these symptoms.. as if ghost were a disease..? in this post the blogger says she heard anklet sound.. for all that we know, that girl who commited suicide might not really like anklets.. what is it with stereotyping(!) even ghosts with long hair, white dress, big nails, anklet sound and all..?? as far as i heard, people claim ghosts don't have legs.. where do they put the anklet then...:D whatever it might be.. am sure the author never again stays up late in a village where a stranger committed suicide...

  3. I think the blogger got a little worked up with that incident of hearing anklet noises.... well i think the blogger should not think too much and be scared because, firstly, that sound of bells may not be necessarily from an anklet... it could have been from sources... and then the blogger could have just had a hallucination because she was thinking too much of the story that the old lady narrated.... whatever it maybe, i think that 3.30 am is a perfect time to sleep, not to stay up and read books!😉

  6. unnatural deaths are often joined with unusual happenings and are passed around as ghost stories. just to reitrate this fact the people of the village have told the blogger about the ghost.. i don't think it was a ghost at that time though i would love to know more had i been there...
