ANNABELLE

Annabelle is a doll bought by a woman for her daughter ann higgins who was a nurse trainee who stayed in a hostel with her friend. The doll was said to be possessed by a demon because they have seen the doll move by itself. At first ann have ignored it but the movements of the doll became more noticeable as days went by. The doll was then taken away by exorcists to be tamed and put into a box. The box has a warning to not open it under any circumstances.(source:wikipedia)
My view on this issue is that i really cant come to a conclusion. If this doll is not haunted why would it be there in box warning people not to open it? Thinking from the scientifical point of view, is it possible to possess raggedy ann dolls made of cotton? It just doesnt make sense... unless someone bothers to open the box and uncover the truth....

HALLOWEEN THE FESTIVAL TO SCARE

SCARING FESTIVAL CALLED  HALLOWEEN

Halloween is a festival celebrated famoulsy in the western world. This festival involves wearing scary costumes and roam the streets. The people take this as a celebration and enjoy  wearing bizzare costumes and show up in friend's house.

This festival has a long tradition. The most famous reason for the celebration is to discourage satan worship in the world.

This festival is reason enough to claim that the people must take devils and evil spirits in a jovial way. The idea of laughing off the evil dressed men show the psychological significance of  the laughing therapy

Marking one day of the year for celebrating the scary feeling though weird is a great way to get these evil demons off our head as just fancy get ups. Its nice to think of them this way. Isn't it.?

Demonte colony and its haunted look

DEMONTE AND ITS HAUNTED LOOK
The area of demonte colony situated in alwarpet is infamous for its hauntedness and desertedness. Houses situated on both sides of the road wear a haunted look in day and scary look in night.

Visitors of demonte colony in the night are alleged to have been scared away by mysterious beings . This haunted place is an old residence of the infamous lord Demonte. He is said to have had a frightful death. Causing the deserted look of this place is related to this lord's misfortune . It is said that he still rules the place and scares away the people who come here to settle.

The famous tamil movie Demonte colony hit the theatres and the mysterious gates of the  colony were knocked by the curious chennaitees.

The visit to this place doesn't give us any fruitful results . Instead they only bring us only shadow of the haunted deserted houses. Anything seen in the dark is bound to be scary by homo sapiens. Demonte is nothing but just another colony that is  deserted.

RAMOJI FILM CITY

t's a straight daytime story. A famous Tamil actress (name can't be taken) just checking herself in mirror. Film crew is waiting for her next shot. Suddenly they heard a horrified shout. It's from the makeup room. All of them rushed inside, Heroine lying senseless in the floor. They carried her on the sofa there and called doctor. He said somehow actress panicked tremendously. Almost after one hour when felt well, what she told, shiver ran down almost every body's spines there.
She was combing gently her hair, checking her dialogues on the dressing table. When again looked in the mirror, she swears to see a man. "No, no not man, it was something else, dressed like old times Churidar, it was…..like something else, he was smiling, you can't imagine his eye…Ohhh". The actress was still in trauma(source:wikipedia)
my take on this issue is that ramoji film city is just a normal film shooting place. there is no reason to explain why the man appeared in the mirror. also, actress being drama queens, definitely would have told false stories to attract extra attention.

THE DIBBUK BOX

The dibbuk box is a wine cabinet. It is said to be possessed by a jewish ghost. This box was held in possession by a 103 year old woman who was the lone survivor of the harsh evictions of the nazis. The woman had told her family members to bury the box together with her dead body. Since it was against jewish traditions, her family has refused. This box then came to sale on ebay where a refinisher bought it and gifted it to his mom. After receiving it, his mum, who was already suffering from an illness, died. Others who received it from his have also claimed that they are experiencing alot of bitter moments. Once, when the refinisher was asleep, he felt something like a dark shadow strangle him to death. Then, he again placed it on sale in ebay.(source:wikipedia)

My take on this is that this story is false because there is no reason to explain why the dibbuk box is haunted. Another reason is that if the dibbuk box is harmful why didnt the old lady throw it away? And also, if the spirit wants to avenge someone, why would it attack random people? The refinisher's mum was already affected by an illness. Her death could have mere coincidence. People should not confuse biological science and supernatural powers.

KARIKATTU KUPPAM AND GHOST BEACH

KARIKATTU KUPPAM AND THE GHOST BEACH

2004 Tsunami in chennai ruined many lives , especially of people living near the coast line. Karikattu kuppam is no exception, this small coastal village, has been destroyed completely and no one living in the area survived the natural disaster.

After this gory incident no person came to live in this place. This village remains deserted till date. There are alleged sightings of  ghosts who lived in the village and died due to tsunami. These ghosts don't do any harm and just wander  around the place.

The beach in this area thus came to be called as "ghost beach". The visitors to this beach claim to have seen wandering ghosts .

If we think about this phenomenon rationally, the sightings of ghosts can be explained as the imagination of the visitors. For all that we know these can be stories that were created for hype. The scientific theory of "survival guilt" comes into place  if we think of the ghost of dead people. The ghost stories are nothing but lores created by the locals for the purpose of sensation.

OKIKU DOLL

Within Mannenji temple in Iwamizawa, Japan stands a small, ornately dressed doll with unusually long, realistic hair… and that’s the mysterious part. According to the tale, the doll had short-cropped hair when first purchased in 1918 as a present for a young girl named Okiku. When the girl died a year later, her grieving family placed it in a shrine in her honor, after which they claim its hair started to grow. The family believed the daughter’s spirit resided within the doll, and eventually donated it to the temple in 1938, where it remains today. Apparently several attempts have been made to trim the doll’s hair – which was analyzed and determined to be real human hair – but it always grows back.
(source-wikipedia.)

My view on this is that why do people think about this matter in another point of view??For example, this doll's could have been lenghtened by the dead girls own family members or the hair could be lenghtened by the priests in the temple just to have many visitors coming to the temple.Who knows, may be the doll might have had long hair eversince it was made.Nobody has seen how this doll originally was in 1918.Therefore it is easy for people to makeup their own stories about the doll's hair because, after all, people are just looking forward to sensational news, whether its true or not.
